Philosophy and Teachings

The Vedas are the oldest body of spiritual literature known to humankind. There, tucked away in mystical Sanskrit sutras, are profound insights into the self, the universe and the deeper purpose behind existence. Those ‘old words’ are known as tattva – essential truths and principles which underpin universal reality. Tattva stands true in all times, all places and all circumstances, transcending sectarian belief. Deep comprehension of those truths empowers one to unravel any existential mystery and upgrade themselves on every conceivable level – physically, emotionally, socially and most importantly, spiritually.

For over two decades I’ve tried to study these ancient books, particularly the Bhagavad-gita, utilising that tattva to decode the events, experiences and emotions of life. As a monk, presenting that tattva to audiences through the written and spoken word became my day job. In that humble endeavour, a deep conviction grew within me – this is wisdom that breathes! It’s living, it’s real and it perfectly relates to the human condition.

The Bhagavad-gita

If we had to choose a single book to represent the spiritual wisdom of India, the Bhagavad-Gita would surely top the list. In 700 power-packed verses it summarises the profound conclusions of the Vedas, the ancient scriptures written over 5000 years ago in the Sanskrit language. It’s a theological and philosophical classic, and its scope is expansive. It covers everything from religion to relationships, science to sociology, leadership to lifestyle management: the keys to all aspects of life, the universe and everything. In every generation, over thousands of years, it has provided unceasing inspiration to thinkers, leaders, and seekers alike.

The Bhagavad-Gita’s insights are clear, concise, logical, and scientific—not just appeals to a particular faith, belief, or culture. Those who sincerely study and apply the wisdom will witness how its teachings transform one’s entire being. That is why the Bhagavad-Gita remains one of the most popular books in the world today - a perennial bestseller.
